#Good Job – Goose Creek

May 15, 2023

Job Announcements

Goose Creek is a family-owned company founded by Chuck Meece in Liberty, Ky., in 1998. SKED has worked with Chuck and his company since the early 2000s.

Chuck was born with an entrepreneurial spirit. He began with a vending business right out of high school and spent years developing it. Then, in the late ‘90s, he started pouring candles in their home, and he and his wife, Tamara, worked day and night to build their small candle-making business from the ground up. Tamara went on to college to earn a degree in education and became an elementary school teacher.

Together, they worked side by side to pursue their dreams of building a successful small business, owning a home and raising their three children. Today, they have achieved all three and much more. Their children: Micah, Jordan, and Madison inherited Chuck’s entrepreneurial spirit and are each making successful strides in the business.

Goose Creek has grown into multiple mass production facilities across the United States and relies heavily on many hard-working Americans to meet the demand in more than 75 countries worldwide. At Goose Creek, quality still comes first, as each candle is made to surpass the highest industry standards. Today, Goose Creek is proudly marketed as – America’s Best Candle!

The Meeces have agreed to participate in our #Goodjob social media promotion. Below is a question-and-answer interview detailing the jobs Goose Creek Candles offers at its Casey County location and the training required.
