#GOOD JOB – The KidspOt Center

July 31, 2023

Job Announcements

The Kid SpOt Center, LLC has been in business for nearly 13 years. In September 2010, friends Brandy Close, an occupational therapist, and Jennifer Houk, a speech-language pathologist, worked together treating children in the same school system when they felt a strong desire and need to do more for the children and families crossing their paths daily.

Together, they created a unique pediatric outpatient clinic called the Kid SpOt Center in Campbellsville, Ky. As the owners, Close and Houk were able to design specialized programs for the children in their care and hire staff to work in a clinic environment where they felt they were making a real difference in the lives of their clients and their families.

KidSpot Center offers eight different pediatric therapy services, including Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy, Community Living Support, Target Case Management and Applied Behavior Analysis.

As the clinic succeeded, so did the need for more locations. Close and Houk expanded to Bowling Green and Elizabethtown, Ky. SKED helped them finance a new clinic in Somerset, Ky., in 2018 and later a facility in Grayson, Ky. They currently employ 120 folks at seven clinic locations across Kentucky.
